I’ve completed a week’s residential Arvon course for writing workshop facilitators. I’m an experienced primary teacher (with a current enhanced DBS certificate).
I am currently completing a Creative Writing Diploma. I've been on quite a few writing workshops since 2016 and have worked with some supportive tutors. My play Saluting Magpies will be produced by Coracle Productions NE and will be performed at Alphabetti in April 2020. I have just been accepted as part of Alphabetti Theatre’s Write Longer Scheme. I wrote a new short play every day for 28 days.
In Feb 2019 I completed 28 Plays Later - a challenge set by The Literal Challenge. And now, after a workshop with Lyn Gardner in Nov 2018, I independently review productions at Northern Stage. In Oct 2017 I was guest blogger at Berwick Literary Festival. I have had a short audio play produced by Coracle NE Productions too. Since 2017 five of my short plays have been performed at Alphabetti Theatre and Live Theatre, both in Newcastle Theatre Space NE, in Sunderland ARC Arts Centre in Stockton and with Workie Ticket Theatre Co. I'm Wendy Errington and I run Write Stuff NE. A relaxing, creative way to start the new year. I will supply coffee, cake, journals, materials & prompts. Lists, Pix & What-Ifs - creative journaling Bring your own photos & memorabilia. £10 per session or £25 for a block booking of three.
